Want To Marry Someone From Another Country? Here's a little info before you get started.

So you want to find a fiance to marry from another country,  we'll there are some things you should know before you get started.  Don't just jump into something without knowing what you are getting yourself into.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but you could end up crying like some people because they didn't know the rules or laws for bringing someone into America.

First, most important thing is that it takes money,  you don't have to be rich, but you can't be poor either.  A minimum wage job probably won't work for most people,  I would say it won't work,  but maybe with some sacrifices and some over time you might be able to barley qualify and have enough money for all the expenses.  Immigration has a minimum salary requirement,  there is a chart you can look at to see if in your situation you make the minimum amount of money they require.

If you do qualify, you still need to have some money saved up to get started,  you must meet your fiance first,  before filling out the paperwork to bring her over here.  So you need money for the plane ticket, the hotel, and all your expenses while over in your fiances country.   Make sure to save those tickets and boarding passes, and hotel bills, and anything else as proof that you did meet her,  and don't forget to take lots of pictures of the both of you together,  and I recommend some of the both of you with the family also.

So if you have the money,  you are going to be ok,  and remember things always cost more than you expect so plan on having a little more than you think you will need.

There are the fees for all the immigration paperwork, and there are a lot of them,  so check the fees for all the forms you need to fill out and make sure you have that saved.  Prices might go up,  so be prepared for that.

Are you ready to bring your bride over?   It's not just that easy that you visit her and pay the fee and then you bring her over here.

There is the medical exam,  she has to pass that,  if she can't pass, she can't come,  so you might want to pick out a fiance that is on the healthy side so you won't have problems there.  Immigration also requires all the shots too.  If she has had some shots and has records of them,  then she might not have to get too many of those or maybe none at all.  If no record, you can always have a test done to see what shots she has had in the past,  it will show up on the test,  but you will have to pay extra for that test at the medical exam.

So if you have the money,  she passes the medical exam,  now she has to pass the interview at the embassy,  some people do get rejected,  so be organized, have all your paperwork, make sure your fiance knows english and knows where you live and your phone # and basic things about you and who the president of the USA is.

Now that she passed the interview and got her visa,  she can come over,  but you aren't done yet,  you have to get married and fill out more papers and send them in and wait for another interview to see if your wife can stay.   I don't think they turn too many people down, but they can and you need to be prepared so she does get accepted.

Make sure you know everything about each other because you might get chosen to sit in separate rooms and have to answer questions about each other and you better have answers.  Don't forget what you ate last night,  don't forget what you did last Saturday morning, don't forget how many times you had sex last week, make sure you know everything so you are ready for anything incase you are selected.  They do this to make sure you really are married and if you really are, you shouldn't have any problem answering the questions,  unless you have a bad memory,  but still even with a bad memory, you won't forget everything,  but I will tell ya,  I don't make it a habit to memorize what I eat for each day of the week,  and I can't tell you the names of all the people I met yesterday,  but they will ask you some names, so make sure you both know names of each of your family members and how many brothers and sisters you each have.

Scared?  That is about the worst of it,  but there are still more problems to deal with,  but if you can deal with this,  the rest won't be too bad and still you aren't done with immigration yet,  you have to fill out more papers and pay more money to remove the conditions just before 2 years after you were approved for your wife to get her greencard.

This page could get pretty long if I wrote every last detail,  and this is just the very basics,  if you really want to do this,  I recommend going to Visa Journey to get more info on everything you need to know for this process.

Remember,  money is #1,  if you don't think you have enough money to do this, then don't start.  Calculate it out first and make sure.   It takes about 5 months to get her here after you apply, can take up to a year.  Be prepared to sit home and wait,  remember you chose someone, you can't go out anymore and have fun,  you wait for your bride.
